A New Beginning Animal Rescue

Dogs and cats available for adoption

This website has been created on behalf of Chuck: A one-man animal refuge out in southwestern Minnesota that is the last resort for hundreds of unwanted pets.  He is 30% disabled from the military:  no hearing in one ear, one leg numb from the knee down to the foot so he uses a leg brace, and three fingers numb on one hand from one of his several strokes.

If you would like to help Chuck Schmidt his contact information is:
23289 State Highway 19
Belview, Minnesota 56214

Phone: 507-430-9194

One option, if you want to help, is to order a bag of dog/cat food from Walmart.com, using free store pickup (either Marshall or Redwood, MN, Walmart), call Chuck and let him know he may pick it up.

Sometimes life doesn’t work out as you thought it would.

There are many reasons we receive returns of cats and dogs who have already found what we hoped would be a ‘forever’ home. Divorce, job loss, illness, foreclosure, change in lifestyle and a lack of commitment all impact whether the companion will stay with the family. Chuck will take back any animal that needs a new home.
